Karen recently moved back home to Jackson after counseling our military men and women and their families both in the United States and overseas for the past 7.5 years. She returned with a desire to continue serving our local military personnel and families through counseling and is working to become a provider for both Tricare and Military OneSource. Having earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology at Mississippi State University, Karen completed her Masters degree in Counseling there as well. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Mississippi since 2004 and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) since 2001.
Before beginning her work as a Military Family Life Counselor, Karen was a therapist at Summit Counseling at First Baptist Church Jackson and has also worked as a therapist and advocate for victims of domestic abuse. Karen grew up in Jackson and is readjusting to life here. She enjoys cycling, running, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering with two amazing organizations: Team Red, White and Blue Jackson and His Heart Ministries.
