Men often carry burdens alone and wish they had someone they could trust for help and guidance. The pressure of “being a man” leaves many of us feeling inadequate, confused, and lonely. We wish we had fathers or mentors to show us the way, but we have no idea how to find them. David welcomes you to explore your struggles in a safe environment and find better ways of living life with the people you love. If part of your struggle is marital or relational, then feel free to come as a couple. David and his wife Guitta welcome the opportunity to work with couples seeking to live in a mutually supportive relationship.
David’s own journey has included working with teens for twelve years as a high school teacher, working with young adults in camping work, growing in his relationship with his wife Guitta of thirteen years, raising three sons, and navigating a career change into professional counseling. He graduated with a MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary and has additional training in premarital and marital counseling. He is trained and working towards certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a type of therapy treatment for traumatic events. David is also a candidate for CSAT, a type of therapy for the treatment of sex addiction.
