“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.“—Arthur Ashe.
We all face difficulties in life and there is no universal “normal.” My goal is to provide a safe space for clients to express themselves without judgment, promote uncensored self-exploration, and uncover truths that might be difficult to face. Offering a different perspective and empathetic understanding can illuminate new pathways and possibilities that might not have been considered. Together, these elements can empower individuals to tap into their own inner strength and find their own way forward.
Using a client-centered approach, I work with adult clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, and phase-of-life difficulties. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all method and can be uncomfortable at times. However, change does not happen within our comfort zones.
Unfortunately, mental health stigma infers seeking treatment is a weakness. In reality, seeking treatment is one of the most courageous decisions a person can make. Call to schedule your session and we’ll get started on your journey together.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Health Psychology from the University of Memphis. At the time, I did not utilize this degree, instead working in medical billing for nine years. I realized after this period of time my true passion was helping people, face to face. I decided to go back to school and obtained a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling—Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. I decided to further my education at Liberty and completed a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling.
On a personal level, I enjoy reading, anything outdoors, spending time with family, and sports. My son and I are on a quest to visit every Major League Baseball stadium and it has been an incredible experience.
