I have been in the ministry since 1985, which I am just now realizing makes 40 years! Whew, anyway, I was a Student Pastor/associate for 24 years and then moved to worship pastor/associate pastor until I resigned my church after 16 years of service at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Greenville, Ms. I have only served in 2 churches as a full time pastor. Clarksdale Baptist Church from 1991 to 2001 and Emmanuel Baptist church from 2001 to 2009, and then from 2014 to 2020. I left Emmanuel in 2009 and worked as a medical marketer. I returned to full time staff at Emmanuel in 2014 as their worship pastor/associate pastor until 2020 when I moved my family to Oxford and began getting my masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. I graduated from Liberty University in May 2023 and I am working toward being fully licensed. I am currently employed full time as a therapist (P-LPC) at Oxford Treatment Center.

I have been married to Cate for 15 years. We have 3 children ages 14 (Cason), 11 (Cruze), and 8 (Kolby Ley). I have 2 children from my first wife, who passed away from Cancer in 2006. They are Cassidy (30) and Kayden (25). I have 2 grandchildren, Dalton and Krisa. I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, fishing, and singing and leading worship with my wife.
